Mountain High Disposal mobile app

Privacy Policy

Effective July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mountain High Disposal (“Mountain High Disposal,” “MHD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Mountain High Disposal mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

The App does not require you to create an account. When you search for and select a service address, the search text and selected address identifier are sent to our systems so the App can locate the address and display the appropriate service information. If you choose to contact us, your email application may include information you enter, such as your name, contact details, service address, and message.

Information stored on your device

The App may store your selected service address, theme choice, notification preferences, scheduled notification identifiers, and cached schedule information on your device. This information allows the App to remember your preferences and show relevant service details.

Technical information

Our servers and service providers may automatically receive limited technical information, such as request times, search terms, selected address identifiers, Internet Protocol (IP) address, device or browser information, and ordinary server logs. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Find service addresses and provide collection schedules.
  • Display disposal guidance, announcements, and service information.
  • Remember App preferences and support optional reminders.
  • Respond to questions and service requests you send to us.
  • Maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, and improve performance.
  • Comply with applicable law and protect our rights and operations.

Selecting an address in the App does not establish ownership of the property, create a customer account, or change the customer of record.

3. Notifications and communications

If you enable reminders, the App may schedule local notifications on your device. You can change notification permission in your device settings. The current version of the App does not require an Expo push token for these local reminders.

When the App opens your email application, the message remains a draft until you choose to send it. MHD does not receive that message unless you send it.

4. External websites and services

The App may open third-party or MHD-managed web pages for billing, sign-up forms, waivers, and other services. Information submitted on those pages is governed by the privacy practices presented by the operator of that page. We encourage you to review those practices before submitting information.

5. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information, and the App does not use information for cross-app behavioral advertising. We may share information with vendors that help us host, maintain, secure, or support the App and its backend systems. Those providers may use information only as needed to perform services for us.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect safety, investigate misuse, or protect the rights and property of MHD and others. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, sale, financing, or other business transaction, subject to applicable law.

6. Retention and deletion

Information stored locally remains on your device until you change your selection, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App. Server logs and request data are retained only as reasonably needed for operations, security, legal obligations, and troubleshooting.

MHD’s business records about service addresses and customers may exist independently of the App and are retained according to operational and legal requirements. Removing an address from the App does not delete those business records. To ask about information associated with an App inquiry, contact us using the information below.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Production network communications should use encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for customers and service users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

9. Your choices

You may decline optional notifications, change App preferences, clear locally stored App data through your device, or uninstall the App. You may also choose not to send an email or submit information through linked forms.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use.
